During my stay at Hanoi Eastern Gate Hostel & Spa, I appreciated the friendly staff and the comfortable mattress in my dorm. However, the overall cleanliness left much to be desired, with some areas appearing quite neglected. The location near the railway was exciting but also quite noisy, which disrupted my sleep.

Rooms

The dorm room had issues with cleanliness, including stains on sheets and an unwelcoming setup with beds lined up in a corridor. There was a bit of noise from other guests taking calls at night, which was bothersome.

The staff were really helpful and friendly, especially the woman who greeted me upon arrival. They also allowed us to use the common room while waiting for our flights, which I greatly appreciated.

The hostel is conveniently located near the Old Quarter, making it easy to explore the area without spending too much on transportation. However, being right next to the railway means it can get quite loud with trains passing by.

The facilities were more modern than I expected, with a great common area. However, I found the internet connection unreliable and had issues with the water temperature and pressure.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hanoi Eastern Gate Hostel. the location in the heart of the old town made it so convenient for exploring and trying local food. The room was comfortable and clean, though I did experience some issues with the heat in the dorm and a bit of noise from the trains passing nearby. Overall, it was a solid option for budget travelers.

My stay at Hanoi Eastern Gate Hostel & Spa had its ups and downs. The modern facilities exceeded my expectations and the location was perfect, just steps away from the railway and the hustle of Pho Co area. However, the dorm room was quite smelly and hot at night, which made it uncomfortable. Overall, I had a good experience, and the friendly staff helped me with tours, but improvement in room conditions is needed.
